Theme 01
Retro Blockbuster Roulette
Movie/TV themes from the 80s–90s that everyone can hum—except no one knows which one is about to drop.
- Search Spotify for “80s movie soundtrack”, tap any result, then hit Song Radio.
- Turn off “show queue” (or keep the device face down) so you stay blind to what’s next while you host.
- Bonus points if players name both the movie and the performer before vocals start.
Host tip: if a song flops, press “Start Radio” on whatever just played to keep the mystery going.
Theme 02
TikTok vs. 2010s Earworms
Blend viral audios with 2010–2015 chart smashes so the crowd keeps arguing about which era wins.
- Start with any TikTok “Viral Hits” playlist, shuffle once, and immediately switch to Song Radio.
- Every third track, queue a random 2010s party playlist and hit radio again to keep everyone guessing.
- After each buzz, make teams call out whether it blew up on TikTok or FM radio first.
Host tip: hide your screen with Guided Access or face-down mode so nobody sees the queue.
Theme 03
Global Dance Roulette
Latin pop → Afrobeats → K‑Pop → Bollywood — shuffled in a way that nobody (including you) can predict.
- Pick any uptempo track from one region, press “Go to Song Radio”, then skip once so you’re surprised too.
- When someone buzzes, jump to a playlist from a completely different region and hit radio again.
- Give extra points for naming the artist’s country or language before the hook drops.
Host tip: if Spotify keeps repeating a region, open YouTube Music and start a new radio there.
Theme 04
Family Road-Trip Throwback
Decade-hopping singalongs where Gen Z and grandparents both get blindsided by the queue.
- Tell each team to shout a decade, then start radio from the first song you think of in that era.
- Use Spotify’s “Blend” feature with two wildly different decades, then shuffle and hide the screen.
- Let mixed-age duos buzz together so they combine classic rock memories with 2000s pop.
Host tip: keep the car-trip energy—if someone misses, immediately skip to the next surprise track.
Theme 05
Cover Chaos
Only covers, remixes, and genre flips—everyone knows the song, nobody recognizes it at first.
- Start radio from any track in the starter playlist or a metal cover, then let the algorithm dig deeper.
- If you switch apps (Spotify → YouTube Music), search “acoustic cover” and go radio again so you stay blind.
- Don’t admit it’s a cover round until someone accuses you of swapping the playlist.
Host tip: award double points if a team guesses the original artist before the chorus.
